Northern Michigan is finally waking up from the long nap of winter, and the evidence is all around us. The snow is melting, the days are stretching longer, and the brown of winter is fading as the first spring green shoots push through the forest floor. Spring here is simply delightful—soft golden light warming the beginnings of the wildflowers on the trails, temperatures that no longer hurt, and a fresh sense that the year is officially underway. These things combined make spring one of the best seasons for family portraits!
