When Lauren reached out regarding a portrait session for her fur-baby, Dakota, we were thrilled to get it underway. We absolutely love dogs, and animals in general, and we also enjoy the challenge they present for photographs. What’s even better, is that Lauren wanted the photos done in the fall, on her private property within East Tawas Michigan. So, let’s view the photos from this adorable session shall we?!

To start, I should also mention that Dakota is 13 years young. She is starting to slow down, but she was such a good doggo. She greeted us kindly, and was ready for the photo adventure in her favorite area of the state. Her mom, dad, and grandfather were all along too, so you’ll see them within some of the photos as well. First, we started on the driveway pathway leading into the property for this fall pet portrait session.

Soon, we talked mom and dad into jumping into the photos with Dakota, and they happily obliged.

Finally, it was time to get a couple with grandpa. He loves her dearly and takes her out often for mom and dad on their ORV.

After a few photos of Dakota on the side by side with grandpa, we took a few more photos of mom and dad with Dakota, and a few of them alone too. She was pretty tired by the end of this segment.

After these photos, we stood around chatting while Dakota rested her weary bones. Jeff took the opportunity to capture a few candids of her relaxing, and I took the last photo, of Dakota and her mom walking towards the house on the property.
