Hello again everyone, and welcome to the first part of three for the Family Photo Session at Lake Huron in Oscoda, MI. Why are there three parts? Well, that’s simple! It was a combined session for three different families. So, each family will receive their own blog post here.

You see, one of our our previous clients, Aja, and her family were staying at some wonderful A-Frame cabins on Lake Huron, with two other families who are close friends of hers. So, she looked into booking us for each family to receive a photo session while staying at the lakeside cabins. And of course, we were happy to oblige.

We started with a few photos on the boardwalk itself, as the leading lines going towards both Aja and her family, as well as Lake Huron was irresistible to us. It was the perfect place to warm everyone up for this fun session.

Next, we wandered over to an adorable wooden swing set. Here we grabbed some photos of the family together, as well as some individuals of the kids. The one of them “sleeping” on the swing-set is one of my personal favorites.

Next, Aja requested that we do a “cliché” photo of the family peeking around the tree that was on the property. While we personally don’t ask this pose of clients, we are always happy to oblige when it is requested of us. Why? Well, just look at how cute these ones turned out! It’s not for everyone, but it makes our hearts melt at the cuteness that can ensue when done correctly.

Next, we went towards some beach grass and a tree to bring some more greenery into the session. Thankfully, having worked with us before, Aja and her tribe got into position and trusted us to rock this seemingly boring spot. You be the judge on whether or not it was boring. (We don’t think so of course lol.)

Right behind the grass on the beach, was a beautiful driftwood log, screaming for us to use it in the photos. The few shots we took with it, turned out stunning beyond measure!

We sent the children away and took a couple of photos of Aja and Dave together to finish off the official portion of their session. I mean, look at these two love birds! <3

Now, for the unofficial portion of their session. You see, we still had the families of their friends to photograph at the same location. And so, here are the photos that followed. There are a few of the kids together, a group shot of everyone enjoying the fire pit, and finally, we finished the day off with photos of Aja and her amazing family in front of their cabin.

This was an amazing day all around for us and the families we were able to photograph. Thank you Aja, and to your beautiful family once again for trusting us with these precious memories.
